Hamilton  Swoop
Wizard of Green Ridge

For my readers:
My name is L. Stewart Hearl (Stewart to my friends) and I wish to sincerely thank all of you who bought my book.  I had a lot of fun writing it.  I hope that you had as much fun reading it.

I've received several inquires as to whether or not there will be more of Hamilton.  The answer is YES but you must be patient.  The first book took a year to write.  I expect that the second won't take that long.

For those yet to read my book
First, what it is not.  It is not another Harry Potter nor a Lord of the Rings.  I cannot deny, however, that I was influenced by another author and that would be the absolutely brilliant Terry Pratchett who is responsible for the wonderful Discworld series of books.  Here is a brief description of what to expect in my book (from my publisher, L&L Dreamspell):

Summoned to the Center City Wizard’s Guild, Hamilton Swoop revisits his past, then discovers his amazing magical destiny…
Hamilton’s mundane life as an antique shopkeeper in Green Ridge changed overnight when a mysterious rune-covered trunk turned up amongst the merchandise he purchased at an estate sale.  The trunk’s bizarre contents compelled him to close up his shop and begin a journey to Center City, where he hoped to find some answers.  There are no coincidences when it comes to magic, but more questions than answers waited for Hamilton at the once revered establishment.  What happened to all the old, powerful Wizards?
Why did the current Guildmaster choose to summon him, when Hamilton was shunned by the organization so many years ago?  Strangest of all–the Dragon-like creature menacing the area surrounding Center City–what could a powerless Wizard like Hamilton do about it?

Acknowledgements:
I wish to thank the members of my writers group, Cash Anthony and James Davis, for their input and for keeping me on track from the beginning to end.  Without their help and without the help of my publisher (Linda and Lisa of L&L Dreamspell), this book would not exist.

I also wish to thank Terry Pratchett for his wonderful Discworld books.  He was my inspiration for entering the fantasy genre.
